To Good Homes
|
|
|
This is my page for all my breeders and adult birds that have gone to
good
homes. I will always think of them as my birds and maybe someday
when I
have more time and room, I can buy back babies or even the pair but
I will
never forget the happiness they gave me. They are gone from my home
but never my Heart, they were well loved and will never be forgotten. They
were not just breeders they were my pets and my babies.
It was very hard for me to part with them but I know that they have gone
to good homes and will be taken care of. I have such a small aviary
and
my time is very limited and so is space. I know that these birds
will go to
homes where they will be able to breed.
|
Sapphire and Emerald have been sold to a very nice home. Malachite
and
Opal will also be there. I know that these birds have been sold to
breeders for the purpose of breeding and they produce lovely healthy
babies. If you might be interested in babies from this pair email me
and I can put you in touch with the new owners.

This is
Emerald he was my baby that
I raised. His parents are Freddie and
Ethel. He is paired with Sapphire. Sapphire was hand picked for
him
by me because of her lovely coloring.
It made a nice
combination in the
cage with a bright peach face and
a pastel peach face.
They have been paired together since May of 99 and
have been the best of
friends.
|
This is Sapphire she was my
Dutch blue violet hen and is a
paired with
Emerald. For a
parent raised bird she is a sweet heart. She
is a very curious bird
and loves to build paper art in her water
dish. When I first brought Sapphire home I let her chose her mate
she of course chose a female at first till I narrowed it down to the 2
male choices.

When I decided to
reduce my flock of lovebirds, I was very sad. I am happy though that
they most have gone to the same home. Many of my other birds in the
past have also gone to the same home. The following four pairs flew
out of Boston on October 13, 2003 to their new home in Murray, Utah.

Ametrine and Amber were flown to their new home in Murray, Utah.
They left on June 1 on a Delta Boeing 737-800.
They flew with two other birds.
Amber had become very aggressive about finding a mate. She started
laying eggs and attacking cage mates in the flight cage. I was unable
to find her a suitable mate, so the decision was made that it was in her
best interest to sell her to another breeder who could breed her sooner
rather then later. Ametrine was sold because the mate that I wanted
for her would not have been born till Fall of 2002 and then I would have
had to wait another whole year for him to reach adult hood and that was
not fair to her.

October 2005, As we got ready to increase in our
human side of our family again, we had to cut back on our pairs. I
decided to sell one of my Black-Cheeked pairs. It was a very hard
decision on which pair to sell. In the end I decided to sell Coal and
Onyx. They have gone to a really great home. I hope to see their
babies in the future. They have gone to Kera Groves (Wilson) at
Lovebird's Lair
March 2006, Coal went to the Bird Show in Virginia and
came home with ribbons. He took Best in Show. |
